This is bad when hammer meta is dependant on slams & combo. Without an AS boost though a lot of fights in this game do not give hammer appropriate windows. If you're using catalyst & blitz tonic, Hammer is fine. There was a reason attack speed used to be the meta before lanterns were reworked & every weapon got a small attack speed boost. My point is that whether or not I've got a lot to learn, I'm obviously above the skill level of a mid-tier or casual player & yet I'm encountering fundamental problems with these weapons. I don't get how you're being so obtuse about this. That would be bad design, if it were the case. It implies these weapons are completely out of reach of new players, mid tier players, and casual players. That's such shit reasoning, because it implies these weapons are so ridiculously complicated that to use them you need to be in the top 1% of players. Someone who has primarily played Axe & Hammer for months, over 10 reforges, full power surged gear, perfect perk economy, completed top 100 with hammer, just isn't good enough yet to effectively play these weapons. Without a doubt the worst thing in the game.Īh yes, there it is, the most unreasonable argument. No corruption protection, no way to see through the cloak, no way to see through it’s veil. Fireproof, Deconstruction, Shellshock resist, that stuff. For most of the hated behemoths, like Flame Reza, DE Quillshot, and Boreus, theres something you can run, be it a cell or ability, that makes it easier. Say you finally manage to stagger or interrupt the BS, you can’t even bank on it because now the clone is hitting you through the Shrowd. This clone just feels like a walking “go fuck yourself” to anyone trying to kill this behemoth. And once you finally get it to drop it’s veil, it almost immediately goes aether charged again. Fast, wide sweeping wing attacks that you can’t see coming unless you’re right next to it, Flying slams that you can barely see even if you’re close to it, and even then telling the double slam apart from the single one is difficult because, again, you can’t see. This wouldn’t be much of a problem normally Frostback Pangar and Thunderdeep hit pretty hard, but remember the fact that YOU CAN’T SEE. It can only be found at level 21 and above, so unless you have a build specifically for survivability (in which case it’ll probably still flee the island cause it has so much gd health and you aren’t doing enough damage) every hit either takes more than half your health or just one shots you. My god, just what are you supposed to do against this thing? You can’t see 90% of the time, plus you’re corrupted, meaning you’re slowed, taking more damage, AND getting stamina drained, so half the time you’re just running around try to find the BS, and then getting hit out of nowhere when you can’t dodge. ![]()
